Regarding Editorial Policy and Our Focus on Prescient Commentary

Early in 2007, we decided to give special emphasis to news reports from foreign countries, rather than focus on U.S. news reports. Our aim is balanced reporting. Balanced and open minded reporting is our only goal.

You will find many news reports here from major European sources. This is because most people living in the U.S. today no longer trust major mainstream media.

Not surprisingly, the foreign media often takes a slant not found in most American news reports. European media often make a conscious effort to refrain from political commentary. They favor "the facts" rather than partisan party politics.

The London Times, the London Daily Telegraph, Der Spiegel and the Jerusalem Post oftentimes present more realistic views than The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times and the Boston Globe. If you find that a bit disturbing or emotionally daunting -- so be it. Reality is often unforgiving and challenging to everybody. We all need to open our eyes a bit to views held by others.

In my opinion, nobody is elucidated by remaining closed minded. Too many people let politics determine their world view. The sad truth is that America is being torn apart by divisive party politics. The angry shouting is getting more shrill every day.

Our borders stand wide open in a time of war. At the same time, European nations are rushing to lock down their borders and tighten security. The White House is pushing a hidden agenda favoring the North American Union. Executive Orders were recently signed that may turn American law enforcement over to the UN in the event of a severe pandemic. Congress has been siding with Wall Street and the major banks have far too much power. Members of Congress have accepted generous campaign contributions from bankers and credit card companies. Money rules everything in Washington D.C. The truth is simple:

"America has the best Congress that money can buy."

Those vaunted Congressional "reforms" are mostly cheap widow dressing. It's time for Americans to wake up and smell the coffee. Special interests and big money control our political system.

The phrase: "Prescient Commentary" means my commentaries are made after much study and reflection. They are based on published news reports and editorials by respected journalists, and are made in good faith with the objective of better informing the public. But my commentaries seek the next higher level in editorial exegesis. By their very nature they tend to be rather farsighted.

To me it seems this process is a bit like standing on a hill under rapidly darkening skies, feeling the rushing wind quicken and change its direction with force -- then predicting that 'a very hard rain is coming.'

When I first put up this web site I had intended to post daily commentaries on the news. But this effort was causing me to suffer severe and increasing daily stress.

My publication of news about the housing bubble, the credit bubble (or "credit crisis") and other negative economic news -- caused others to launch repeated hacking and cracking attacks on this web site. Many of these attacks were launched from corporate sources. In the end, was obliged to give up posting commentaries on the news and world events. My health required that I take that step.

Occasionally, I publish political or social commentaries by other writers. An excellent example is this Op Ed by Mr. John Armor a Constitutional Law scholar.
